R-WALL is structural engineer specified. The sizes on the concrete core, lintel details to concrete specifications are all determined by the structural engineer. It is of great important to utilise the services of Structural Engineers with knowledge and expertise in designing builds with ICF. Mortgage Advice
ICF was deemed a standard form of construction by the Council of mortgage lenders (a regulatory body for mortgage companies) provided the ICF system has a valid and UK accepted product certification such as the BBA. The council of mortgage lenders has now been merged into "UK Finance". UK Finance no longer specify specific construction methods to be deemed "standard construction", it is left to the lenders own risk appetites. The means that lenders can change acceptability as they choose, this goes for block construction, Timber frames or ICF. Therefore, it is advisable to approach your chosen lenders for acceptance whatever the chosen construction type. R-WALL is BBA certified and accepted by warranty providers.

Jack covers all aspects of mortgages and property lending, they pride themselves on being approachable and easy to talk to, whilst doing all the hard work behind the scenes. Jack has spent time investigating the market in respect to R-WALL and its acceptability within the market. He found during his study, conducted October 2023, a zero % rejection rate with the companies approached in his search. As stated above, the market is subject to constant change and acceptability and therefore it is advisable to approach Jack or other mortgage providers as early as possible in the construction and planning process.

Render Systems
Wall finishings are outside the scope of the R-WALL BBA certificate. Advise should always be sought from the BBA certificate or company supplying the finishings. Thin coat Silicon renders adhere straight onto R-WALL and many are BBA approved and tested for this purpose.
