Ebron is a striking example of contemporary coastal architecture, nestled along the rugged Cornish cliffs of Mawgan Porth. What was once a derelict agricultural barn has been reimagined as a high-performance, low-energy home — combining the architectural vision of Arco2 with the craftsmanship of Westhaven Construction and the innovation of the R-Wall ICF system.
The R-Wall system played a crucial role in achieving the project’s sustainability goals, providing exceptional thermal efficiency, airtightness, and structural integrity. This project delivers a durable, efficient, and timeless home that exceeds modern building standards while celebrating its unique setting.
An email from Luke at Westhaven developments -
"We have used the R-Wall ICF build system across multiple projects, both on our own developments as a property developer and with our clients when acting as main contractor. In every instance, the results have been consistently outstanding. Lisa and Matt possess exceptional knowledge of their system and provide invaluable support throughout each stage of the build. Their expertise and commitment ensure projects run smoothly and efficiently. Most recently, we incorporated the R-Wall system into one of our high-end developments, Ebron Manor, and were extremely pleased with the speed of construction and overall performance. The system delivered excellent air tightness, with the two properties achieving 0.6 and 0.8 respectively on their air tests. R-Wall offers a high-quality, high-performance solution backed by a professional and dedicated team. We look forward to continuing our collaboration on future projects."
